Mullet/gars on at Frankston

Post by DougieK » Tue Jan 06, 2015 9:02 am

Hey guys,

Not my personal report, but last night went for a quick walk along the jetty at frankston while I was waiting for LAdyK in an appointment. Several people had buckets full of mullet and gars, fishing the north side of the jetty about 50m from the end using floats.

Good to see some fish on there.

We were trying to catch live gars the other day so I could use them on a snapper but we had no luck account we didnt have small hooks in the boat.

Were the gars of any size ?

I go for a walk along the pier every couple of days cos my local coffee shop is on the pier there. They have been getting good hauls of gars there the last month or two. Keep meaning to get myself down there with some gear to pick some up for dinner / bait
