Despite the snapper numbers dying down, I had some good luck on Sunday night (25th) for Flathead on Lagoon Pier. Fished a low - rising tide from 1800 - 2100.
Constantly getting bites on pilchard cubes and managed to reel in 8 or 9. Only kept the 4 over 30cm for a nice dinner! Biggest was 42cm. Still one of my favourite tasting fish!
