Princes pier Wednesday 14th Nov 18'

Post by Sinsemilla » Thu Nov 29, 2018 4:08 pm

I spent a few hours at the pier on sundown because it lined up with a high tide. It was a nice Southwesterly after a bit of rain and when it's like this i've done well with snapper coming in close around here.

I put on the trusty gulp 5inch jerk shad and started casting. Nothing was landed but a smelly snook.

I spoke to a couple guys who said over the past couple weeks it had been very quiet. Hopefully things heat up for the LB fishos once this weather gets better.

Cheers, Anth

That place is a hot spot for those things!
I have also hooked up with 1 or 2 the last couple of times I’ve been there!
Some massive ones too. I had to cut the line with my last one. Too big to lift up and didn’t have a net.
Like you have done well with pinkies there as well though. Pity they weren’t around.
Maybe next time.
Cheers

Those squid jig stealers are a real pita.
The fish have moved on from down that end I reckon.
Always pinkies around though.

They are around i reckon just not in numbers. It will take a fair few casts unfortunately. What i'm really hoping for is a jewie.
