Yep my point exactly.
Why not help a brother out and have a day out on the water for practically nothing except time and education.

I don't think there is really any secret sauce when it comes to fishing. It just comes down to spending the time on the water, just like everything practice makes perfect. Expect to come home empty handed a lot, but it's all about persistence.

You can pay to go on a tuition charter, I did that last season. To be honest it was OK but really they just tell you stuff that is widely known knowledge that you can find right here on the forums. Tides, bait, rigs etc.

I think the real key to success is applying those techniques on a consistent basis over time. And you can be equipped with all that knowledge and still not catch fish because you're not in the right place at the right time.

Might be worth considering one of the one on one guided trips with a charter guy on your boat as they can spend time with you with your equipment, helping you tune your sounder etc. They're not cheap (about $350-400) and can't vouch personally but might be worth a shot

That's a big boat for a center console ...if I see you I'll come over and say g'day (got some of my best tips talking to people at the ramp)

Thats exactly what i was thinking as well, must be a beast of a thing..

another option is to go on a guided charter as mentioned earlier on your own boat, the guides will be able to give you a bit of info on how things work etc..

if all else fails, i may be able to help but depending on time. And i only have experience with lures fishing for pinkies/snapper/salmon. and bit of squidding experience.
