Hi fellas! Just here to give you guys a report on these flatties i caught at St Kilda pier. I was fishing in the incoming tide using soft plastics with bright yellow color. I was fishing the right side of the pier as the wind was blowing quite strong from the left side of the pier. Then i started casting the lure, made it sink to the very bottom, pause for 5 seconds or so, hop hop, retrieve the slack line, and pause again. Did that for like 30 minutes until my first one at 8.30 pm when the tide was almost high. the bite was on the pause. The other one i did it differently: i cast it out, let it sink, the retrieve it very very slowly just to crawl on the sand. Then the flatty hit it again. I also did bait fishing with pillies and squid, caught nothing but this creature. i think it was eel. what do you guys thing? is this edible? or perhaps good for bait?
Cheers
