St kilda pier

Post by Seemu » Sat Feb 25, 2017 8:47 am

Fished the pier this morning from about 530am until 930 on sp's with no luck.

Other people on the pier were reeling in pinkie after pinkie on pillies. Pinkies were about 25cm+

Few salmon and flatties caught down there this morn too.

Trust it's the only time I go out for a sp sesh and don't take any bait

Always next time

You gotta be in it to win it.

I would rather donut on SP then get a couple pinkies on bait. Only do bait fishing from the boat now. All landbased is SP!
Species Comp 16/17

Salt: KGW 36cm - Squid 35cm - Salmon 22cm - Flathead 34cm - EP 35cm - Total Salt 162cm

Fresh: Carp 55cm - Total Fresh 55cm

TOTAL : 217cm

Yeah I get onto fish when my mate takes his boat out (once in a blue moon) haha

Just keep smashing the piers I guess, dry lines only catch cobwebs! :water:

What SP you use? Scent? Target species?

Was using squidgies one prawn with scent, and one other small paddle tail black and gold with some salt stuff on it.
Was targeting flatties, fished pretty much the whole half end of the pier.
