What size plastic were you using and the size of the jig head?Crusher777 wrote:I think I will try it. I also had trouble trying cast plastic far. I couldn't cast it much. Maybe I am doing something wrong.

Re: SP salmons.
It is the same as you said 1/8 and 4 inch plastic.
But it did not feel heavy enough and I can't cast far with it.

Hmmm I don't know what to say. I don't have any trouble getting distance with it. I mean it's not a huge cast but I'm happy with the distance. Maybe you should upgrade the jig head then to say a 1/6?Crusher777 wrote:It is the same as you said 1/8 and 4 inch plastic.

Re: SP salmons.
Yes it shouldn't be a problem mate. You should be able to get more distance but remember it will sink faster.Crusher777 wrote:It's still ok if I use this jig head on the same plastic?

You shouldn't have any problems getting enough distance with that but if you do and distance is what you are worried about a metal might be better for youCrusher777 wrote:Ok thank you :victory: I will give it a try :a_goodjob:

I will try both and see what I like better.
But do you know why I can't get much distance but you say you can?

It's hard to say without being there but there could be a number of things mate. Maybe your casting method? Could also be your line type and quality. Are you using braid line?Crusher777 wrote:I will try both and see what I like better.
