Quick Arvo session 12/5/16

Post by Lightningx » Thu May 12, 2016 6:14 pm

Headed down to Port Melb pier for a quick session with SP's in the hope of catching a few salmons.
First cast and the SP gets slammed and I think im onto a big sambo to find out its a 60 cm pike!
First one for me on a SP land based so I was quite pleased :super:

Good catch lightningx! I've never done well off port melb pier. How was the fight? I've never had a decent fight out of a snook.

All I can say is I'm happy I had a stiffer rod or else I wouldn't have been able to pull it up onto the pier lol

Cheers mate never used one of these for the big reds. In season I love using fresh whiting heads for the big ones
