Lagoon pier

Post by Slammer » Tue Feb 16, 2016 7:57 am

I fished lagoon pier last night and caught 3 flatties all around 40cm. I used squid and pilchards and I caught them at sundown, around 8-8.30ish. I caught them all at the end of the pier, fishing out to sea. Looking forward to flathead and chips later!

Nice catch. It's worth casting a soft plastic around there too

Top effort. Flatties, Gummy and Whiting are the best eating fish in the bay... In that order!

Well done mate

Cheers everyone, I'll try the soft plastics next time.
I fished there again yesterday at high tide and caught more flatties and a 40cm pinkie, we got smashed all day by pinkies, it was good fun! The weather was crap though!

I have had best results at that pier 1-2 hours before sunset with an incoming tide for the pinkies :)
