is st kilda breakwall open at night? i been once and it was closed and i could hear penguins. Another time it was open, but people looking at penguins where everywhere and no room to fish.

Part of the breakwall is closed, has been for a while due to the penguin colony there. But you can still fish on a section of it facing south or the pier. Penguins are quite common there and will walk past you.
