Hello. so launched for first time at altona today about 6.30am.Sounded around n trolled and explore for a bit.
Caught 10 pinkes...size about 14cm :icon_lolz:

How deep was the exit near the wall some times it is very shallow

nude up, when i came at 9.30 white measuring stick was around a meter i think

You should put a decent bait out and get something a bit bigger.

Did you try out near willi oval?

People apparently catch snapper there, but I have never had any luck

Nah not sure only venture out two the second stick.had whole pilchard .salmone fillette n plastic.i caught the tiny pinky on sabki rig.i prob should of went in. close drifted for squid.

I went out Friday nite off altona and got 20 + pinkies no bigger than 8cm long it was quite funny

Thanks for the info re depth I hate sucking the black mud like stuff up there. The problem with catching very small pinkies is they are hard to release if you have a small hook

Where do you close drift in Altona?

I close drifted on the right side of the ramp once, and just missed the rocks well out from the isolated danger marker.

Water went from 2.5 metres to 1 meter instantly.
