Altona Pier Tonight.

Post by timche » Tue Mar 05, 2013 10:56 pm

G'day guys long time follower first time reader :) I am about to hit altona pier tonight for the first time and wondering if there has been any success from any of you lately?? and what species of fish may be around?? I have been down anglesea last couple of weeks which was good for some 20 cent piece sized bream and one 30cm+ bream, now looking for something a little more advantageous. Will update tomorrow some time.

Cheers Tim

4 hour session from about 12 am until 4:30 with nada, one bloke caught about 30 garfish in the same time period though, might need to alter game plan.

Hmmm ... 12am? Pinkies tend to be most active at Dawn and Dusk. you would have missed them. Having said that .. a couple should have been around.

Excellent news with the Gars; been waiting months for their return!

squid ?? never ahd any luck there either ! .....

But with Fishery placed some artificial reef about 100m away fom tip of the pier, think we will expecting more pinky hanging around Altona pier...... which also translates to more fist fight over the spaces @ the tip of the pier....
