Headed out early sataday off werribee came out the channel headed right about 10kms and dropped the pick, within seconds of putting a rod in bang kgw ended up with 13 to 39cms great moring

Ey guys, I'm going up to werribee south tomorrow morning.
I'm working at werribee so I thought I'd get my gear and go after work.

Just 2 questions. (I've never fished salt water!!)

Since I'll be working at Kmart and have access to fishing gear, what should I get? (Apart from rod/reel)
Should I A: Cast lures, or B, sinker and hook?

Size 5 Sinker at the bottom and a hook or 2 coming from the side?

Or a different set up? Also what bait?!!! Kmart bait that is lol.

Mate, unless you got live tube worms I wouldn't even bother but anyway if you insist on going you just need a running sinker rig with a size 4 hook and a size 2 ball sinker.

Ey sorry for the late reply, I tend not to use much from Kmart not satin it won't work, of landbased wouldn't worry to much about the salt unless ya can fish off the new rock wall, id be target flathead though thats all of I've caught the close in and salmon, I'd run paternoster rig with pilchards and squid and throw a plastic around hope that some help
