Soft Plastics
Starting to lose all faith in the soft plastics just now, getting hardly any hits and catching absolutely nothing, tried the Warmies this morning and still got a big fat zero.

Re: Soft Plastics
Anyone can have a Donut day. In a report I read about 2 weeks ago they were catching Bream on SP's around the piles and moored boats at Ferguson Street Pier.
Cheers, Carpie1.

Ah that sucks mate. Nice choice of plastics. Usually not the most productive time of the year for me especially when going landbased.Scozziefish71 wrote:2 1/2" grubs in motor oil, pink, white, z man minnows etc etc, no luck.
I usually do alright in March and April though

Re: Soft Plastics
It's been pretty quiet around Williamstown for flatties, caught a heap of pinkies the size of my palm a few times over the last two weeks but no flathead!Scozziefish71 wrote:I have been to Ferguson st pier a few times and spoken to a few guys, not too much happening at all.Carpie1 wrote:Anyone can have a Donut day. Re: Soft Plastics
If you want a plastic fix, hit up st Leonard's pier or queenscliff harbour. Any minow style plastic or small paddle tail on 1/8 jig head slow retrieve on a max tide will see some action, although sunrise and sunset have been pretty productive for me. I've been going to Fergusons and Gem quite often and in the 6 trips only landed 4 undersized pinkies, 2 undersize bream and 1 just legal flatty that was released. Must've put in 1000 cast to get those. Goodluck

Re: Soft Plastics
Getting plenty of 40cm flatties off WP beaches lately, if you're willing to drive that far. Mostly on 3" zman slim swims.
