What sort of action are you using for the flathead? I'm sometimes worried I'm going too aggressive.

I go whenever I have time but find an outgoing tide is best for flatties. :water: :banana: morning or arvo!

I've been off Ferguson St Pier a few times in the last few weeks. How do you all navigate the thin bed of muck at the bottom when fishing for flathead? Or is it not always there? I find myself getting frustrated after an hour or so of constantly pulling weed off my jighead and end up going back to chasing bream.
