I was thinking the same the other day

I caught a 24 cm murray cod and was wondering if I could use it on a set line as bait

The worlds gone insane.

Pilchards is not the only bait you can catch fish on, if you think you might run out of pilchard just bring a kg of frozen chicken breast fillet as back up. Its not the best bait but will certainly have a few enquiries from just about anything. If anything you could catch some bait with it.

No but it is legal to chop off your fingers and toes at the joints for bait. Your middle finger can bait up to 3 hooks.

I don't think this needs to go any further.

Undersized means put it back, pretty simple really.
