Wind from the east 21/3/17

Post by Nude up » Tue Mar 21, 2017 4:01 pm

After last weeks success I was keen to give the snapper another crack, especially as I gave the numbers to a mate and he got 3 on sat. I convinced Barra mick to come along we met at the Werribee ramp at 6 am it's great having that extra pair of hands speeds up the launch we headed out in the dark and the rain when we got to my Mark we sounded around and picked up a few arches. We anchored up and got the burley going in no time we were getting bites flathead and banjos what a pain we must have caught 8 banjos of various sizes.
Barra mick rod buckles and at first we both called it for a banjo but after a couple of minutes it takes off on a massive run then nothing bitten off damm. We pick up half a dozen flathead but nothing else. we up anchor sound around but nothing it starts to rain again and the wind has picked up we decide to give it away poor mick has to go to work.
The rest of my days off the weather is crap so maybe next week.
