My son is back from uni and fancied a day fishing, he has a very short attention span for fishing we were on the water at 8am hard to get him up early when he is on the net gaming 3/4 of the night. Anyway we headed out to our chosen spot it was a little choppy but still comfortable on arriving we sounded around for a while we found some fish I dropped the pick and got the berley going.
We had 2 bait rods each 1 snapper snatcher 1 running sinker. I had a soft plastic rod and started flicking a sp around, the snatchers were going mental with small flathead sub 30 cm.
About 930 am the wind dropped off and it was like glass and we started getting some bigger flathead. I tied a small vibe on for a couple of small flathead then I tied a jig on it was orange it was awesome every drop a flathead climbed on one went 51.
I tried casting it and bouncing it back and just dropping it to the bottom and lifting either way the fish loved it also picked up a couple of pinkies.
At 12 I shot over to portarlington for lunch the wind had started to pick up so we decided to give it away we were off the water at 1pm a nice feed for during the week.

Added edition to a Xmas feed, well done, cheers davo
It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them
