From the breakwall to the mouth it's pretty shallow a fair way out even with a good cast your casting into water 1.5m deep at high tide. I've done a fair bit of floundering down there and can say it's banjo city with flounder and frogs chucked in the mix.

Thanks for that I was told there was a good floundering spot by my neighbour who comes out from Cranbourne to go go floundering out Point Cook ways.Are flounder all year round or is it seasonal?cheers

Hoping to give Werribee South a bash this arvo. I reckon i am in with a chance given the southerly wind and high tide at 5. Just have to finish earning brownie points!

More investigation for feb/mar when i target gummies in this area. As silly as it sounds i am happy to be pestered by banjos as it indicates i am in the right area

I tried this afternoon,in the area you were,it was a bit too windy and the clarity of the water was crap. Im going to try for Whiting tomorrow morning,as i got a KG of mussels this morning at Lavo market and they are still alive.I hope the water discoloration is not the same as today. Goodluck Piglet77,
