Went out for a morning session today. Launched at 5:45 and fished the high tide in Altona Bay.
Usual flathead.
After the tide turned the best we got was a 90cm gummy and a 48cm flathead.
Very happy with that.
Bait was horribly mushy servo pillies
Water depth 8-9m.
5/0 circle hooks.
Note to self - don’t bother with 7/11 Altona for bait or ice, the ice machine was turned off and the bags were 1/4 water. The bait was mush. But on the flip side the bait worked.
Tried to add a photo but the file was too large
Wind picked up by 10 so only a short session today but well worth it
Edit - added photos thanks guys for the help.

Nice job. I was out on the port today for 3 eagle rays, port Jackson’s and banjos with a few Whiting, and I was using fresh bait lol. So you did well. Screenshot the photo and upload the screen shot version and it should work. If not, use this website under “compress” https://www.imgonline.com.ua/eng/

If you have a samsumg you can go into edit your pic. Adjustment and then resize and then save as 5mg.Yota wrote:Went out for a morning session today. Launched at 5:45 and fished the high tide in Altona Bay.

Thanks all, always good to come home with a nice feed.
Forgot to mention after I retrieved the boat and was in the car park a fella with a clip board asked us to do a survey, I think he was Fisheries Vic I think it was ?
Tell you what it was comprehensive ha ha.
On a scale of 1 to 5 how satisfied were you with the ,,,,,,
And so on,,
It really was 100 questions.
Anyway, unfortunately I don't have a Samsung, mines made by some fruit company so I'm limited in my options.
I'll try to give the imgonline a go later.
Cheers.
