G’day all,
Got a work deadline out of the way so decided to head to the bolte for a couple of hours before the bad weather hits. No great expectations due to the strong northerly and being between tides...none of my livies had a hit.
One of the little mullet I caught had red spots on its tail and lower body and seemed sick. Does anyone know what this could be? Red spot disease seems a good candidate.
I did however get chatting to another friendly fisherman who caught a salmon and was kind enough to give it to me. We agreed to use the fillets for a gummy after things open back up, but I ended up cooking it up haha. We can get more...
Next time I might use the wind to balloon a bait into the deeper water.
Cheers,
Leo

Re: Bolte report
Yea it could be red spot disease. I've never caught or seen a mullet with it though.
Try again, good catches reported every now and then off there.

Re: Bolte report
If you're landing mullet there it's worth chucking one out as a live bait.
