New Bream champion is awaken!!!

Post by M9085 » Tue Apr 03, 2018 7:13 pm

Well, finally got to test my new noodle!
While the size of these giants wont get me to the top of any competitions, I'm off.
Got them on two separate trips to the nong. If I got these little fellas, does it mean If I come across a bigger models am with a chance? Or my technique isn't good enough to fool bigger ones??

That's a good start mate. Now you just got to find the bigger models. Use the same retrieve you had on these ones.

Your technique is probably fine, you just need to keep putting in the hours and the big ones will come. I find that happens a lot on the Nong some days you get an avalanche of small ones, then the next day you catch a few decent size ones. Just keep mixing up your retrieve. Go with a slow roll, then add some pauses, change up the speeds until you find what starts working for you. Even add a little bit of scent onto the lure to try and entice the bite if things get a little quiet.

Best Regards Alan Bonnici
