Catching Bream at Williamstown with Video Ferguson pier

Post by thebigal_au » Fri Jan 19, 2018 3:46 pm

Hey Everyone

I ventured down to Ferguson street in Williamstown and area I have walked past on so many occasions but never stopped to fish. We had a short session which was cut short to a Hyundai commercial being filmed in the area.

Fished for 70 minutes and caught 8 bream in total. 2 caught within minutes of each other measuring 37cm and 36.5 cm. which was great
Fished using light general purpose rods, ( Savage Gear Mpp2 2-4 ) using baits on this occasion which was a mix of bread, scrub worms, pilchard and maggots.

A video of this session can be seen at https://youtu.be/CRhirud6Cqg
Please make sure you subscribe to the channel which has heaps of good local fishing content

Best Regards

Good post mate you make it look so easy, who would have thought a berley sinker would do the trick .I've seen plenty of bream there but the crowds tend to put me off pier fishing, maybe I just have to pick the right time to go even think of a mid week session.

Thanks !!!! The old berley sinker works a treat for bream if you isolate one area.
Yeah I drove past there today and it was very crowded and heaps of swimmers near the pier. I think you have to pick your times carefully there.
Cheers
