Albert Park Lake 14th Dec '17

Post by Sinsemilla » Fri Dec 15, 2017 3:31 pm

So I've been slowly getting my young cousin into lure fishing. I've taken him out off Altona to throw hard bodies at some nice salmon and thought it might be a good idea to take him to do some fresh water lure fishing to warm him up for an eventual fish on the Goulburn or Rubicon where pin point casts will be needed.

We headed to Albert park lake at around midday to have a flick. I wasn't really expecting any fish because it was my first time fishing APL and didn't have any idea where to start. It was more of a reconnaissance mission really..

On my 3rd or 4th cast around some structure my spinner bait got hit and I landed a cracker of a yella after a solid scrap. I was over the moon!
After a couple photos and a few hundred photos from the bus load of Chinese tourists that just rocked up.. I sent him on his way.

Very happy with my first APL adventure!

Cheers, Anth
