A guy from work was there last Thursday and got his bag but went again on Tuesday night and didn't get a touch. They may have moved on. Does anyone no if the power station is running? It was last week because I saw the smoke as I was going over tge WG bridge from the chimney.

only when its hot an aircons are raping the power grid. but ironic since i head it was getting shutdown permo but who knows maybe since gippys gone there is no choice.

considered going down that way but no point as the area will get smashed by the mobs.

Has anyone been down there since I posted this report? I had a few near missed with big salmon today close by and as soon as the station is pumping I reken they will head straight there.

I was there Tuesday...not even a bite. Not sure if the power station was pumping though.

I know this is an old thread but have a great way to tell if the Newport Power Station is operating, go to the Port Phillip Bay - Newport boat ramp camera, select car park at the bottom of the photo, it shows the Power Station smoke stack clearly, if it's billowing smoke/steam it's operating.
