Been catching a decent number of fish this season. The first couple of weeks of November before the rains came down were pretty spectacular.
Majority of Yella's have been in the at 35 cm bracket.
That being said, I caught a 53cm and 60cm on the same day.
The 60cm was an old lean fish, that had seen better times. Probably from one of the initial stockings, my new PB (length measurement), but about 6 lbs lighter than some of the 50's I have caught in the past.

This 53 in the picture below was in fantastic condition and put up a great scrap.

More great fish

The Estuary Perch fishing has taken an upswing , they hit like Barra on surface lures, Biggest I have seen caught was a 42cm fish.

It is still Lake Disappointment for the most part , takes heaps of time and experimentation to work out.
The water clarity, air pressure and temperature have different species of fish schooling up at different parts.
I think I cracked the puzzle one day, and then the next day my idea is smashed to bits.
The only thing that is consistent , is hope and inconsistency. In equal measure!

Also, the carp arent averse to hitting lures in there, caught them on blades, vibes and even hard bodies. Feel like a 70cm yella when you hook em LMAO

Been fishing APL a bit lately, got a couple of vids I'm putting together (one has just uploaded) but I think I'll start my own thread for them. The Eps in there are an exciting proposition and something I'll hopefully get into a bit more in future.

Cheers Alex

Took a walk with dad down there on Monday evening.
He dropped 2 Ep and I landed a few along with one nice Yella.

I am going to be taking a break from catching YB for a while and focusing my efforts on getting some bream out of the nong.

the Nong is halfway between Work and Home and is reputed to be a good Bream fishery.
Turns out there is an Off Leash Dog park situated close by as well and is a safe joint to take Marlin along without worrying too much about snakes.

Managed over 8 bream this weekend, spread over 3 sessions.
Lost a fair few fish due to the pup swimming directly at fish I was stalking  But on the plus side, i get to walk the dog and fish at the same time. Thats priceless :super:

SX40's and Nories Laydowns worked best. Got smoked by a big fish on a Cranka Crab, broken off in about 3 seconds flat . But thats Fishing!

Quick Question to the Soft Plastic Pro's out there, i tried hopping a grub along the wall and it seemed to work well, but i lost a fair few plastics due to snags, Jig head recommendations to go weedless?

Also, thanks to Haweksy and Dr Broomstick, for the pointers!

Enjoy!
