not even mad, that's a great first fish!

kozy, bream on lures is pretty hard at the start, but once you start getting them you'll realise how easy it can be (sometimes). The trick is slow. Really really slow, and lots of pauses. Always light twitches or just lift of the rod. There's no such thing as too slow, sometimes bream will take lures that are left sitting on the bottom for over 5 seconds! I find keeping your line slack is the key so there's no resistance when the bream takes your lure, but some people will tell you to keep the tension up and strike on any sign of movement. Trial and error I guess.

Yeah I know mate. I just had the guilts knowing you haven't been lucky on the micros and Tom gets one first go. That's fishing I guess.

From success though to ... Well something.... Chasing my personal challenge of first bream on a crankbait is not proving easy either :)
