I hooked one once on a hard body prawn look alike lure, Good strike and ended up breaking the little treble attached to the lure.

i know i can catch them with prawns, but i want to catch them on lures, so far nothing.. if they can break lures then good luck to me lol..

I think I will stick to bait. I get mussels that grow on the walls and pylons and use those. Only problem is they are soft and get 'sucked' off the hook easily. At least it is free bait!

Well that's something I didn't know!
Does this mean that the ones that grow on the bottom of boats cannot be removed either - legally I mean - or does the rule only apply to fixed structures?

Only want to know for my own education?
