Hi Breamster. I'll go fishing on Nicholson River. Do you reckon 6 is good also for that area?

i don't know the Nicholson River, but 6 is fine for breams under a kilo. Bring bigger hooks in case there are bigger fish.

Depending on the location and conditions I try to fish as light as possible, with a running sinker and a long shank No.6 hook. Yabbies or beach worms are best but prawns are fine. They are a sneaky fish and be patient, don't strike to soon. They may nibble the bait several times before making a strike depending on how hungry they are.

Caught these at Lakes Entrance on prawn. Down by the rock walls on slack tide..

I use Prawn and Bass Yabbies ,size 6 wide gap hook , running sinker and plenty of patience

Always use running sinker and fish very light, slack line. Let them take it. I use braid so can see it start to move.
There's nothing . . . absolutely nothing . . . half so much worth doing as simply messing around in boats.

Vibe lures up at tambo river for me. When their mouths are soft I find that peeled prawns or worms work the best.
