Portland

Went one my now annual camping trip to Portland between Christmas and New Years.
Water was a bit cold still for kings although there had been some sporadic reports, and I've recently sold and haven't yet replaced the kayak I had that was suited for big trips out wide - as such my chances of getting any kings or tuna were fairly minimal but slightly higher than if I'd stayed at home.
Highlights - catching lots of fish, successfully trying out a couple of new techniques, getting away from home for a while
Lowlights - losing a collapsible bucket, landing net and floating aerator over the side of the yak, no kings or tuna, fuckwits at the campsite partying until 3am
The squid were all a bit big for the improvised livewell
Aerated squid goop
Breaming for sambos
Breaming for pike
Breaming for wrasse
Squidding for squid
Eating the bait
The results of getting fisted by the sun three days in a row
