Were the fish in the deep (ie not tight to structure and schooled up) or were they still tight on the pontoons. Normally this time of year they have schooled up

I think they were in between, there was fish schooled up but not a lot and there was some sitting high on structure but not as many as you would expect over summer. This was a couple of weeks ago and if I were to go back now I would definitely focus on the schooled fish.
