Dunno about Tooradin but my brother caught big bream on chicken at night on the dromana foreshore... I didn't believe him till I saw the pictures, I've never caught bream off the beach down that way.

You'll get Bream off the beaches occasionally near the areas they reside in (safety beach/dromana, mt martha, frankston, carrum, mordi etc.)

I was surprised while fishing for Whiting off mount Martha cliffs pulled in a couple of really nice bream 38 and 42. Was awhile ago now but I remember them being a really nice silver colour. Not like the ones you get in the river.

I have caught a few small, (very small) ones in Sawtells inlet and creek at odd times.

Where there's tiddlers there must be some bigger ones in the system.

We used to catch a lot of bream from kerferd road pier and to the right of Station pier from the short pier that is no longer there just the stumps
Best time was summer/autumn using bass yabbies

I've caught them from Lagoon pier after heavy rains flush them out of the yarra...
