The Bream Master slaying them again!!
Righto peoples.
Headed down to catch up with another mate for another bream.fix.
The day started out slow with first few locations producing nothing.
Hit up some pontoons and we got a couple of fish each on grubs.
We then decided to make a move to somewhere my mate knew there was some fish holding.
Well as we got there it was very clear that this was going to be an epic session. The fish were there but are they going to take our lure offerings.
First cast and got roasted!!
The rest of the day is just a blur at this stage. Every cast was a suicide cast. Fish were sitting right on the snags. One of 4 things happened on every cast.
You either got roasted/bricked/smoked call it what you want
Or you got snagged and lost the lure
Or you got smashed by a fish
Or you landed a fish. (With pure luck )
It was absolute mayhem from the very first cast and i lost count of how many 40 plus cm fish i landed, high stick harry again was my best friend. The livewell was emptied out twice with both sessions holding around 8 or so big blue lip brutes in the well between 38-42cm
Smaller fish never made it to the well and were released straight away. Big ones went into the well for pics and we're released after.
Also lost quite a lot of lures in the process. But that's part of the deal sometimes when fishing areas like this. Got to restock and it aint going to be cheap.
Just when you thought you had a great session few weeks ago something like this comes along and blows your mind. So this is also going into my memory bank as one of the best bream sessions I've ever had so far. .
Ps i know ive said this before but there's nothing like a big blue lip following the crank hitting it few times until hookup and then screaming away.. always gets my heart racing...

I don't rate your fishing. Those fish are such slow growers they were around when dinosaurs still roamed

Re: The Bream Master slaying them again!!
Hey purple, if you change the hooks on your lures to singles you shouldn't lose as many lures to snags. I change all mine over now. Especially good around weed and snags, easier to remove hook from fish too. It's possible that it doesn't result in as many bites Turning into hookups but hookups are more solid when you do. For me at least the pros have outweighed the cons using singles. Nice bream session by the way. Good one.
