laverton creek use to have them up to the high school, till the installed the rockwalls thats caused more reeds
as for jew yup have freinds that go diving around the pines an seen a few wile out

I spotted this in The Age today - an interesting addition to this thread, perhaps. The more we rehabilitate our urban waterways, the more bird and fish numbers will grow:

I used to ride along there on my way to Cherry Lake. I only once saw someone fishing there. And I also used to see a lot of snakes along the bike path in summer...

I've thought about taking the kayak in just north of kororoit creek Rd around the train bridge, not sure what would be around, any ideas?
