Fishing inside Patterson Lakes

Post by dave_k » Thu Oct 25, 2012 9:32 pm

Hi Guys,

I have been reading all these reports about fishingfor bream in the Patterson River. I have been down there a few times, mainly trying my luck at the mouth under the train bridge and near the first lock where the construction site is.

Does anyone know of fishing spots inside the lakes part? It looks ideal, however after looking on google maps there appears to be no public access to the lakes area. Is it a lot like the Mt Martha Marina looks good to fish, but fishing not allowed?

Thanks Dave

im pretty sure all the land based is done on the river, while fishing inside the actual marinas and stuff is done on a kayak because its all waterfront houses and private property blocking land based angling inside the lakes

I'm pretty sure the first 3m is crown land. I used to know a person who lived there and that's what they told me anyway.
