First time Werribee river

Post by rizzo41 » Wed Jun 21, 2017 8:14 pm

Hi guys.

Im looking at taking the Hobie to Werribee river for the first time this weekend to chase some bream. Has anyone got some areas that they would suggest giving a shot?

I mainly fish with soft plastics and the occasional hard body lure.

Cheers

You launching at the entrance and working your way upstream? You can park in the car park between the jetty and playground and slide it in across the narrow beach.

Can be weedy lower down around the moorings. Around the first bend is a popular spot. Just work your way upstream. Deepish hole near the first buff on the left, then some shallow sections. More deep holes around the pink cliffs before the golf course. Gets too shallow after that.

Generally weedy bottom
