Merricks Creek

Post by dezza68 » Tue Sep 08, 2015 5:37 pm

Was having a mooch about this afternoon and walked along the side of Merricks creek. Was a bit breezy so couldnt see any fish in the water? Has anyone fished it recently. Looked kinda breamy water.

Meant to have some small beam in there from what I've heard.
Been wanting to try it but never bothered yet.
Cheers

The one you have pinned is point leo creek. LadyK and i have watched a heap of little silver fish hitting the surface in there just on dusk on a calm night, but that's all the insight i can give.

Mullet id say..
Creek I was reffering to is in ballnarring.
I belive broomstick was the early this year and there was a massive fish kill in there.
I could be wrong though as I assume this is where he went as the place wasn't mentioned. Just said westernport creek.
Probably most likely down warneet way too. But it just looked like the one at ballnarring

I had a wander down there yesterday morning with some bread. I was just chucking a few bits in likely looking spots to see if anything was home. Its pretty shallow in most of it and didnt see a fish in half an hour of poking around.
