Bream on Frogs?

Post by Fisho11 » Sun May 17, 2015 11:52 pm

Hi all,
Just wondering if Bream will take the Weedless frog surface lures.
I know they work great on freshwater species but would bream take them?

Bream are scavengers and opportunists so it wouldn't surprise me if they did take a frog. Saying that, my two concerns would be that they have relatively small mouths and secondly that they can be hard to tempt to hit surface at times.

If the lure was bream sized and you put in enough time I reckon you'll get one - probably not a go-to lure though and I'd wait til spring/summer rolls back around.

I should add - unless you're doing it for the challenge of "bream on frog" I wouldn't bother - plenty of easier ways to catch them.
