Our Victorian bream are "black" bream ... in NSW they are "yellowfin" bream... each prefers different habitats and some times they do cross into each others location preferences..

They'd be yellowfin bream you were catching up in NSW. The southern black bream we get around melbourne pretty much stick to the estuaries.

As soon as I read the title I. Knew one thing the OP is from nsw or went fishing in nsw lolllll....

It's not the same here I'm afraid. You can only do that sort if fishing in nsw. Specially dues to the bream being yellowfin bream.
Good fun on the beach
Didnt you guys get any dart or whiting??.

I've seen bream caught from Anthonys Nose. I do ALOT of rock/surf fishing and that was only once so as mentioned above it'd be very unlikely..

Ive caught nice bream from the beach at the aireys inlet entrance to the ocean. I like to fish around 200 west of the entrance. East of the entrance is a marine sanctuary(MEANS NO FISHING). Lots of other good bycatch there aswel.
When I got time,
I wet a line cos Im a junkie,
been fishin since a kid,
I like it cos it numbs me..
