iFish bream episode tonight

Post by ChrisD » Mon Apr 06, 2015 9:13 pm

Did anyone else see the iFish episode tonight? Just wondering if anyone has any clues as to which river/creek they were at? I've been google earthing the area but not really seeing anything that looks close.
Certainly not looking for exact location, just a ball park.

That's the one - was one of those good land based, back to basics episodes.
Not enough of these type episodes on iFish or any of the other shows......catchin Barra and GT's in remote places or on big boats is good to see - but always prefer seeing those places that the average person is more likely to get to themselves, and using the methods the average fisherperson uses.

Looking at google earth Balcombe Creek is blocked by sand at the bay - is this just at low tide or other times - I assume there is water movement in and out of the creek through the sand, but if not directly open to the bay is less affected by tidal movements.
I'm assuming that if it is open to the bay the creek itself, and fishing, will be impacted by tide. But if it is closed off at the bay it won't be affected by tidal movement as much.

it is normally blocked off. occasionally opens. i dont think it is tidal. you can either fish from the bay end or go in from the top, cnr urella drive and nepean hwy
