Pinkies, lots of Pinkies

...and not much else. Attempted to look for whiting around the reef - pinkies.
Bait (fresh squid), SP and HB - all undersized or just on size pinkies, 5-10m around Mordy, yak troll / drift.
Went up to size 4/0 circle hooks - they just chew up the bait, same for 3/0 SP Jigs.
How do I avoid them?

Lots in eastern western port at the moment took a lot of moves to get away from them & catch whiting the other day.

All you can do is move elsewhere

Covered as much area as I could this morning - I'm guessing a different (yak) launch spot is one option.

I’ve had this happen many times. Like the others have said, only thing you can do is move to another location.
