on mordialic pier last night from 9pm-1am using suicide hooks , bait used is chicken, prawns pillchards and fresh muscles taken from pier posts, (have to get a little wet for that last one).
not even so much as a bite, thinking back though there could be garfish there as bait was being eaten quite quickly. it never crossed my mind at the time so i didnt set up for catching gar fish

careful with taking muscles from the pier posts it is actually illegal to harvest them from anything less than 2 meters of water. i know this because i was fishing the pier ones day and hung up in the reef and pulled in a big cluster of muscles so i was using them for bait and fisheries officers came and asked me where i got them from and told me not to take them from the pier posts.
