Half moon bay
Hi guys!
Before school this morning I went wading on the beach at half moon bay for flathead. There was another guy there as well, and we had a good conversation about all things fishing. I managed to catch doughnuts, while this guy was pulling up flathead after flathead. I reckon he pulled up at least four in an hour. We were using pretty much the same everything, with the same plastic but in different colours. We were both doing the double flick, sink and pause, with a 1/6th jighead on a zman minnow. So is this just pure dumb luck, or is there something hidden behind the scenes?
Also had a few plastics which had slipped down the jig head, which I suspect were flatties. How do you tell if a flattie has taken your lure?
Cheers

Re: Half moon bay
flatties normally hit the plastic hard small pinkys are normally tap tap on your plastic and just pants it (pull the plastic down the jighead)you can stop that by a drop of superglue on the jighead before you put the softplastic on i dont bother doing thatwem21 wrote:How do you know if a flattie has taken your lure?
