Nice going & Sambos bled right & cooked in Beer batter taste quite good.
But some people hate Snapper or Couta or love Couta etc.
Sambo fillets make great Gummy bait too.

Nice, I love chasing salmon to fill in some time. I seem to always have the most exciting time but when I take my kids out we never seem to get onto the big feeding schools, it'll happen soon enough and my kids will be hooked.

me and my mate smashed the salmon hard there about 2 weeks ago off the yaks. they were just cruising right up near the surface and were smashing surface lures. in the shallower water they fight dirty and try to put you in the reefpurple5ive wrote:Black rock mate, and yeah fighting abilities, not eating... they are great fun on light gear..

Cheers guys.
Im.sure anyone who love fishing would have had a ball in a similar situation.. it was all hands on deck for the 45 or so mins.. few boats went past us and only one turned around and came back and started trolling but stayed well clear of our boat. He had kids on board so i hope they got into a few
They might have been the same school . Were they similar sized fish? I wanted to trey surface lires but couldnt found any on such short notice hahaha. Ill have to pack them in the boat for next time
