So,
with a small break in the weather i decided to head out with a mate to see if we can get some snapper/pinkies on plastics. and just to see if i can sound any decent reds on the sounder.
about halfway into out trip to a previous mark i spotted a large dark patch in the water. i mentioned it to my mate who said it could possibly be the shadow of the clouds i figured yeah thats def. a possibility.
another minute or so later i seen another patch, this time i decided to check it out.
well needless to say salmon everywhere, no diving birds just cruising, out comes the slugs and plastics, i picked up my Squidding outfit as it was already rigged with a clip on the end.
For the next 40 mins we got our arms stretched by some decent brutes. fish were flying everywhere, and there was a massive school of snapper/pinkies under them as well, but the plastics never made it to the bottom......
i also landed my PB best at 53cm, and my mate got into a few decent pinkies and got busted off by a decent fish, i didnt try for pinkies at this stage as i was having a ball on the salmon..
All good things eventually must come to an end, and ours came in the form of dolphins that gatecrashed the party massively. the school then just disappeared.
we spend the rest of the few hours driving around and sounding up and stopping for a flick here and there for some more pinkies..
Have some gopro footage will post that up at a later date.
