Yeah, I've heard that when there are banjos being pulled up, it means that there is nothing else out there at the time. I usually take it as my sign to wind in and grab a coffee.

Only banjos??? Apparently a seal was swimming around at nights during the winter season and chasing all the bait fish in the bay. And now guess what the pier has attracted?? Two pelicans :confused2: Not sure if they are still strolling around but until two weeks ago.

I was thinking of going down to Beaumaris tomorrow, after some flatties on SPs. Anyone have anything good or bad to say about the bay? All suggestions gratefully received.

Many thanks.

Steve.

Hi Steve,

I am sure there are a lot of Flathead there, however the area around the jetty is reefy and full of snags (great habitat for calamari)

Also fishes well for Aussie Salmon and gars
