whiting 16/12/2016

Last night I decided to give a spot I know a go for some whitings as I usually start catching them around this time of the year.
when I checked the tide I didn't like what I saw. Looks like I will be fishing the low tide I thought to myself and from past experience I know that this spot I was going to always fishes well with an incoming tide. The usual 2 hours before and 2 hours after.
Anyway I really wanted to go for a fish so I didn't care. Packed just one rod and I was off.
Reached my spot around 9 and fished for a couple of hours. Was a bit choppy at first but by the time I left the water had glassed out.
Ended up with a total of 9 whitings and 1 flathead.
Considering I was fishing the most unproductive time I was happy with the outcome.
cant wait to give it a go soon around a high tide.
All fish were caught using pippies and mussels.
Cheers,
LX.
