Re: Ricketts 16m
Thanks for the kind words all. Had some of the fillets tonight. Yuuuummmy. Ended up giving a couple of the reds to the relos, put some fillets away for another meal, kept the two smaller ones whole for a later feed and put some more fillets and calamari away for a family dinner/function next month. We probably won't do another snapper trip as we got our feed and our snapper fix. Eildon is next on the agenda. Tomorrow's looking good for anyone able to get out. I think anywhere on the 16m line from Carrum to Ricketts should produce. Good luck.
BTW I can't emphasise enough about using your sounder properly as Fitzy and others have said before. I have a no name el cheapo tiny black and white screen unit that came with the boat when bought but I learnt how to use it and what to look for. It has definitely helped us find fish.

Re: Ricketts 16m
So when you say using your sounder properly what do you mean? I fish mainly freshwater and have a cheap Eagle sounder but I only use it for depth/structure as well as temperature as far as fish showing I have had times where it shows plenty of fish & caught nothing and other where nothing is showing & caught fish so I'm not sure if it's just the sounder or settings.
