Hey mate. Lots of different ways to beach fish. You can cast out far with a big rod with bait and wait n see. You can walk the beach with a light spin rod with plastics or slugs etc etc. Never fished chelsea but try and learn the basics of beach fishing. Investing in a pair of waders might help as it can be shallow for quite a while so you could always wade out and cast. Before you know it you will have 3 rods for different occasions just for the beach hahahah

Great advice here, although I'd skip the waders. Normally I just wade around in boardies or if it's cold I have a wetsuit I put on. If you're comfortable barefoot is usually ok although close to the city it can pay to have shoes of some descript.
