Simple dudes Pinkie Madness

Post by purple5ive » Mon May 18, 2015 11:30 am

Welcome back.
Heres another report from a week or so ago.
Fished blackrock with a good mate of mine (snapper slayer on here)
There were pinkies galore, goat fish, salmon and flathead.. SS landed some crackers that went 40+, we ended up with about 14 keepers, all between legal and 41cm, lost count of how many fish we caught easily in excess of 30 fish per person with majority being undersized and a lot of them sooo close to the magic legal mark but had to go back..
Action was nonstop. Plan was to use two cameras, but of course one of us clowns decided that disembarking from the boat with one leg in it and another in the knee deep water was a good idea, nek minit there were splashes, camera got soaked and that was the end of that…. The people next to us waiting in line were laughing so hard they nearly fell in as well…
No pics this time, but hey who takes pics when the action is this hot, ill let the video do the talking this time…
Sponsors please pay attention lolllllll, Stay tuned for Part 2.

A few kms from area went off land based other night for the couple hours I was there. Unfortunately, I had 6 month old bait and little of it. Nice to break my new light rod in though. Going back soon,. This time last year was good too.

Thanks lads, was a good day out..

shaz - the tiller steer models like mine don't come with a remote control, I wish I got the one with it though would have been really handy, however after being on a boat with the gps electric motor, it wins any day.. once its on gps lock it will stay there, just like dropping anchor..
yeah bit bummed about the camera but it was just a cheapie, so not overly worried, but would hafve loved to get the footage

passport - yes that areas been really good the past few weeks / month

ps - if anyone knows how to recover data from a micro sd that's been damaged (water ) im all ears.
the camera was in my pocket in the jacket so it didn't actually get submerged as such and it did startup after that but soon just went all fuzzy.

Google..Dry out phone.. It will tell you what to use..
I'm not sure if it's bi-carb soda or something else

Did a quick search... Dry-All, Drybox & Bheestie Bag.
Also suggests that people keep the desiccant packets that are in with some items you buy, (In with 1 of my pills).

Chuck it in a bag of rice. May not help for salt water though as the corrosion will set in much faster.

But rap in paper towel or something. Sometimes the soggy rice gets into the nooks & crannies.
